8th EE: 'Shorty' Plungerman

The final ex Ramona Flowers dated before Scott Pilgrim was from the brief period when she experimented with extremely short people. "Shorty" Plungerman (last name coincidental) stands at a height of 3 feet total. He is 33 years old, yet constantly mistaken for a kid (and the fact that he still lives with his mother doesn't help this perception).

When Ramona broke up with Shorty, he was so distraught over losing her that he drove his bathroom plunger through his temples -- and was subsequently struck by lightning, fell off a cliff into a small lake of nuclear waste, and bitten by a radioactive groundhog.

Obviously, he died in seconds. But for unknown reasons, he rose from the ground three hours later, with the superhuman ability to hear the thoughts of others through his plunger (as well as shoot lasers from it, and control the weather, and force people to punch themselves repeatedly)...and a burning vendetta to seek out and destroy anybody else who would ever seek Ramona's affection for the rest of her life!

Shorty has been in the shadows, secretly watching Scott for all six books....studying his fighting patterns, his weak points, and learning his weaknesses. In addition to all the powers bestowed upon him in the lightning storm, Shorty also ate Knives Chau last week, so now he can breathe the word "LOVE" into Scott's face to disorient him. In addition, he's the REAL reason the Scott Pilgrim movie underperformed at the box office, as he hypnotized millions of Americans into throwing cash at Setzer and Friedburg instead.

Shorty is the ultimate final boss in the video game that is the comic book that is the Scott Pilgrim saga. How, oh how, will Scott defeat this apex of foes? Hope he's been saving his 1-ups....
